Our Human Resources Vision
Our Human Resources Vision is to implement the Human Resources
assessment, development and enhancement processes to ensure that the
career standards of our existing and newly hired team mates follow a
professional line and continue in an efficient manner in line with
the strategies, principles and objectives of KAR Group of Companies.
Our Human Resources applications are based on the principles of
competence, reliability, efficiency and hardworking which also
underlie our accomplishment in the world of business.
Our Human Resources Applications
Recruitment
The selection and appointment activities used to hire both
inexperienced and expert new personnel are conducted within the
framework of required qualifications, job definitions and qualities
of related positions.
Our main resource for any vacant positions in any of our companies
is our general-enrollment candidate data base, and any applications
filed with our Group following our announcements in the Internet or
on the media are taken into account during position assessments.
Our interviews are conducted in three phases and information
measurement – assessment systems are applied for technical personnel.
Orientation
Our newly hired colleagues go through the orientation phase during
which they are informed about the qualities and qualifications of
the particular Group Company and department as well as the related
job definitions.
Performance Appraisal
As a Group, we expect our entire employees to manage the business in
such a way so as to maximize not only their individual development
but also the benefit for the company for which they are working.
Within this context, our Performance Assessment system is developed
by taking into account the sectoral and corporate activity
differences. Our Performance Appraisal system based on general
business management, objectives and qualifications is being
constantly updated in line with necessities arising in time and R&D
efforts.
Training
Our Group causes inside and outside sources to provide the training
programs which are found to be required by our employees for
business management and individual development. 45% of the Group’s
training budget which is established at the beginning of each year
consists of technical qualification trainings whereas the remaining
55% is comprised of behavioral qualification trainings.
Annual Training Programs are established and announced after
examining the requests of both the executives and employees.
Career Planning
The main purpose of building an objective-oriented Performance
Assessment System is to make each one of our employees believe that
they could be the principal architects of their own career plans.
Added value created by the attainment of corporate, departmental and
individual objectives is used as a resource to help the employees
discover the way their aptitudes lay, to demand training to
eliminate any shortcomings and to form their own individual visions.
Our middle and top level executives and our Human Resources
department act as sources and consultants for employees to help them
discover, develop and orient their capacities.
R&D
In order to update and develop our human resources applications in
compliance with the current and corporate requirements, researches
conducted by national and international sources are modified on the
basis of business management needs and any innovations which are
found to be beneficial are adapted to our general system after a
trial period.
